Friday afternoon & markets

Käisime Michelle'iga kevadist ilma nautimas Prantsuse kontsessiooni kandis, Fuxingi pargis ja sealt edasi suundusime spontaanselt antiigiturule ja üsna põnevale turule, kus müüakse loomi, lilli ja putukaid. Seal ma peegelkaameraga ei tahtnud väga pilte teha, sest see tõmbab endale päris palju tähelepanu (lisaks sellele, et olen välismaalane, eks) ja ma ei tahtnud näha müüjate reaktsiooni, kui seal kõiki loomakesi pildistama asuksin.... Seega hiljem tuleb posu telefonipilte!

Went to enjoy some of that spring weather with Michelle. We were walking around the FCC, Fuxing park and eventually got the spontaneous idea to go see the antiques market and also the pet, flower and insect market. I didn't really want to take photos with the dslr there, since it's a sure way to get some unwanted attention (besides, well, being obviously a foreigner) and I wasn't really sure the salespeople would greet the camera with much excitement... sooo there will be just pics from the phone later!

We popped into this random little antique shop while walking around the FCC and there were so many lamps in the ceiling... well, you couldn't really see the ceiling itself anymore! Most claustrophoby-inducing room ever. But it was cool to see the insides of a real shanghainese house.

Näide omavolilisest ehitamisest - tüüp ehitas hunniku puure akna ümber ja peab seal nüüd tuvisid. Allkorruse naaber küll ei tahaks sellisel olla.

Guy built a set of cages around his window and is breeding pigeons now. Would not want to be his downstairs-neighbour.
